NWCSA owns rental properties in Ashland (Ashland County), Barnes (Bayfield County), Montreal/Gile (Iron County), Oliver (Douglas County), and Superior (Douglas County). From apartments to homes, NWCSA strives to increase and maintain the quality of the neighborhoods that we are in.
Wait Lists
Being added to the wait list will only happen when you have
completed the application and it is approved by NWCSA.

Rental applications are processed on a first come first serve basis. Before you fill out an application, please review the reasons you could be denied. All denials will receive a letter in the mail. A denial will be issued by NWCSA if:
- You misrepresent any information on the application. If misrepresentations are found after the agreement is signed, your agreement will be terminated.
- If the completed rental application contains any omission that are not satisfactorily explained.
- In the past five years, you have had a conviction for any type of crime. Non-violent felons may be considered for tenancy five years from the satisfaction of the sentence.
- If you have repeat offences of violent/threatening behavior or damaging property.
- Your credit check show accounts that are not current or a judgement against you for financial delinquency and unpaid fines or court costs are not acceptable.
- If you have been evicted during the last two years for late or non-payment of rent or for behavior that includes causing disturbance, threating other persons, damaging an apartment, or other reasons, your application will be denied.
- Previous landlords report significant complaint levels of non-compliance activity such as repeated disturbance of the neighbor's peaceful enjoyment of the area; reports of prostitution, drug dealing, or drug manufacturing; reports of violence or threats to the landlord or the neighbors; allowing person not on the rental agreement to reside on the premises; failure to give proper notification when vacating the property.
- NWCSA does not provide housing for register sex offenders.

- As an applicate, you are responsible for providing all the required information. Your application is not complete and will not be reviewed until all required information is received.
- You are required to provide NWCSA with information necessary to contact your past landlords. We reserve the right to deny your application if, after making a good faith effort, are unable to verify your rental history.
- You are required to provide NWCSA 30 days of income that we can verify independently (Montreal/Gile requires 90 days of income verified). This would include pay stubs, employer/source contact, or tax records. For those who are self-employed, we would need your business license, tax records, banks records, or a list of client reference.
Transitional Housing
Helping individuals experiencing homelessness with longer term housing and supportive services with the goal of increasing income and exiting into permanent housing.
Rapid
Re-Housing
Moving individuals and families from homelessness into permanent housing with rental assistance and support services.
Tenant Based Rental Assistance
A rental subsidy up to 24 months that helps stabilize homeless youth and families where housing is a barrier for reunification.
Dometic Violence Rapid Re-Housing
Rapid Re-housing for those fleeing domestic violence.
